Individual Therapy
Adults
I offer remote psychological therapy via Microsoft Teams to adults with Type 1 Diabetes who maybe struggling with any number of issues. This starts with an assessment session where we have an in depth discussion about you, your experiences with Diabetes and the issues you would like to focus on. I then formulate a treatment plan to address the main problems and we agree on that plan together. I am happy to also work with any coocurring medical conditions and/ or neurodivergence.
As a Clinical Psychologist I used many different types of therapy during my training and am continuing to learn post qualification. I am not wedded to any individual theraputic model, rather I use an ecclectic approach based on your needs. Please note that to avoid any conflict of interest with my NHS role I cannot see patients currently engaing in insulin omission due to Eating Disorders.
The assesment sessions is £85 (or £70 for student parents/ caregivers) and lasts between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 mins. The price per session is £85 (or £70 for student parents/ caregivers) and each session is 50 mins - 1 hour long, a discount may be possible for block bookings. I tend to work outside usual business hours (evenings and weekends) to account for my patients other obligations but appointments during the day are also available.

Children & Young People
I offer remote psychological therapy via Microsoft Teams to children, young people and families living with Type 1 Diabetes. Although I would be led by the individual and their wishes typically I see those aged 13 and above alone and those of a younger age with their parents. Therapy starts with an in-depth assessment with both parents/ caregivers and the young person, with some separate time with the young person alone (if appropriate). Then a plan is formulated to address the main issues and agreed upon together. I am happy to also work with any coocurring medical conditions and/ or neurodivergence. I can also work with schools if that is required.
